My life as MOM!

As many of you know we welcomed a new baby girl to our family on February 24. After an easy pregnancy and labor Presleigh Elyse joined the Wagner clan. She was 8lbs 12oz and beautiful of course. I have had the opportunity to stay home for eight weeks instead of just six and I have enjoyed it tremendously.

Truth be told I am a self proclaimed non stay at home mom. I enjoy my time in the work place and know that I have been called to be a teacher and use my gifts in that capacity. As a result the management of the home is a 50/50 job for Stuart and me. But when things got back to normal after Presleigh's birth I challenged myself to embrace my time at home and learn to be an effective housewife. With two children at home I was overwhelmed the first 2 weeks or so. While Blaire is a great big sister, she has had her moments which is to be expected. As far as Presleigh goes I struggled with not being able to hold her every time she whimpers since Blaire being only 2 1/2 has her own set of needs. But I have embraced the challenge and I have since found joy in doing the laundry and gaze upon my empty laundry baskets with pride. I have become a little obsessed with making our bed every day. Sometimes I make it just before we go to bed just to say that I got it done. I am hoping that when I go back to work I can maintain some sort of consistency as I am only going to be back at work for four weeks before summer break.

I am really amazed at how much I have learned to enjoy taking care of our home. This time that I have had with the girls will be time that I will look back on with fond memories and I am looking forward to our time this summer.
